Under this health plan, covered durable medical equipment also includes one hearing aid (or one set of binaural hearing aids) up to $1,500 once every 24 months for a member who is age 18 or younger or once every five years for a member who is age 19 or older. This includes dispensing fees, acquisition costs, batteries and the replacement parts to repair broken hearing aids. However, no benefits will be provided for amounts that are more than the overall benefit limit for durable medical equipment.
