Eye care furnished by a Physician, including glaucoma screening (once per year) for high-risk members, such as members with family history of glaucoma, members with diabetes or African Americans age 50 or older. For people with diabetes, screening for diabetic retinopathy covered once per year. These covered services also include: one pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses after each cataract surgery with the insertion of an intraocular lens; corrective lenses/frames needed after a cataract removal without a lens implant; and one pair of contact lenses needed due to keratoconus.
