Wigs (scalp hair prostheses) when hair loss is due to: chemotherapy; radiation therapy; infections; burns; traumatic injury; congenital baldness; and medical conditions resulting in alopecia areata or alopecia totalis (capitus). (Any benefits already used in the same calendar year for wigs under prior Blue Cross Blue Shield plan(s) will count toward any benefit limit for these supplies.)
