This health plan covers alcoholism treatment (in addition to the benefits that are available for non-biologically based mental conditions) when the member is an inpatient in a General or Mental Hospital or Substance Use Treatment Facility up to the number of days described in the benefit limit. (Refer also to Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment - Non-Biologically Based Mental Conditions.) This includes semiprivate room and board, special services furnished by the hospital and psychiatric care furnished by a Physician (who is a specialist in psychiatry) or Psychologist.
