This Medex plan covers:

Enteral formulas for home use that are medically necessary to treat malabsorption caused by: Crohn's disease; chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction; gastroesophageal reflux; gastrointestinal motility; ulcerative colitis; and inherited diseases of amino acids and organic acids.

Food products modified to be low protein that are medically necessary to treat inherited diseases of amino acids and organic acids for up to $2,500 in each calendar year. (These food products may be bought directly from the distributor.)

For Medicare-approved enteral formulas, Medex pays the Medicare Part B deductible and Part B coinsurance. For enteral formulas and low protein food products that are not covered by Medicare, Medex pays full benefits.

This Medex plan covers Medicare-approved diabetic testing materials. This includes most materials to test for the presence of blood sugar when ordered by a Physician.

Medex pays the Medicare Part B deductible and Part B coinsurance.
